December is here, and if you don’t have a summer-ready work wardrobe, this would be the time to stock up on those warm-weather essentials. Of course, this being New Zealand, summer doesn’t mean you’ll be exclusively wearing t-shirts and shorts. Our harsh sun puts us at elevated risk of skin cancer and makes good skin care a priority. Tees & Polos

Whether you’re working in an office, on a construction site, or out in NZ’s rugged wilderness, you’ll need a supply of durable, comfortable short-sleeved shirts for and singlets for every-day use. When it comes to tees, cotton is your best warm-weather fabric. It’s light, breathable, and soft on your skin. Although it tends to wrinkle more easily than polyester, it more than makes up for this in comfort. For slightly more formal or customer-facing work settings, a Westpeak Breathable Polo Shirt is slightly dressier while still being very comfortable and leaving your arms uncovered, helping you to stay cool. Looser-fitting polyester is a good choice here – it won’t crumple as easily as cotton and won’t soak up sweat the way cotton will, allowing you to maintain a neat, professional appearance throughout the day.
 

Work Shorts & Pants

For warm weather, a pair of lightweight, durable work shorts will keep you cool. Outerwear

For outdoor summer shifts, you’ll want a piece of outerwear that will keep you reliably dry without making you uncomfortably warm. We recommend something like the Trufflex TTMC-W Unlined Parka. This jacket features a stormproof hood with drawstrings and toggle adjustment; large, waterproof pockets to keep your phone and valuables safe from the elements; and waterproof internal wrist cuffs to keep rain and moisture out. This Hi-Vis, heavy-duty parka will see you through the longest shifts in the most demanding work conditions.
 

PPE & Accessories
